Kate graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, self-titled: "Animal Behavior and Welfare" with coursework in animal science and psychology.

Kate also has significant experience in animal husbandry and behavior within a veterinary hospital.

Kate has also done extensive volunteer work at the SPCA of Wake County, the Carolina Tiger Rescue, and the Piedmont Wildlife Center.

She has worked directing puppy and dog training obedience classes using positive reinforcement techniques and now focuses her Dog Days on walking and pet sitting.

About Us

"Our neighbor Kate does a wonderful job and is VERY reasonable! She's the only walker our poodle girl will allow to walk her."

"Kate did a wonderful job helping out with our Welsh corgi Chaucer when I was in the hospital giving birth to our daughter this past November. She was super flexible & friendly & easy to work with. She also happily helped us out again when our daughter was readmitted to the hospital a few days later. Our original due date was closer to Christmas & she was more than willing to work with us even if the baby had come right around the holiday (as it turned out she came early). If you need a pet sitter, definitely give Kate a call"

"Honestly, I don't know what I'd do without Kate. I travel a lot for work (and pleasure) and I can always count on her to take care of my girls when I can't be home. Once I had to leave the house in an hour for an emergency and I called her frantically. She assured me that she would take care of the dogs and that allowed me to concentrate on what I needed to do.

I highly recommend Dogs Wanna Have Fun!"
